does anyone know of any leather repair shops in London?
I have an old briefcase and the straps keeping the leather handle on have worn away - does anyone know of a shop in London that does repairs for this kind of thing?
I have had the case for some time and would exhaust every possibility of repair before considering replacing it.
Thanks
there's a lovely shop at 109 Kings rd, Chelsea, SW3 called amazingly 'R.Soles'. it's been there for about 30 years and has a good reputation - mends shoes, cuts keys, repairs bags, etc. A friend of mine had a handbag repaired there and they did a good job.

How much is my value of civil war sword?
Its been in my family for decades and the sword of a real right to the top of the label sheet 1862 and has written some no longer legible, right next door. I wonder how much of its value as a whole and the metal sheath and the sword. Id also like add a little more detail as the fact that the original leather handle is still wrapped around it and has a handle guard, but in his excellent conditions, only a little worn.
Does it look a bit like this: That http://www.newel.com/PreviewImage.aspx?ItemID=9130 is a civil war sword dating back to 1864. Comes with original leather and sells for $ 1,500. If your sword is authentic I do not suppose anything can be worth less than $ 1,000. Hope that helps, and good luck with the search for a star rating!
