London, England: Black boys - why so violent?
London is going through a massive gun/knife crime problem - government figures show 90% of the perpetrators are black, 60% of the victims are also black.
Why?
It is clearly not a poverty issue - as the most poor in London have been shown to be from the Bangladeshi community.
It is not lack of education - as everyone in England has the same access to free state education.
It is not a music or computer game issue - my nephew loves rap music and Grand Theft Auto but understands the difference between fantasy and reality and doesn't feel the need to go round stabbing up people.
So why, out of all the beautiful diversity of our wonderful multi-cultural country, are black boys so violent?
(Please note: this is a genuine question, not a racist cheap-shot).
Yep - but serial killers are as rare as hen's teeth. Muggers/stabbers/shooters/jackers seem to be a bit more widespread and more of a problem?
It is hard to give an honest answer and opinion without being seen as racist, but.....
I was searching for information on google about politics (totally unrelated to this) to find a page talking about African politicians arranging for the killing of children for sacrifices. I thought at first it was a nonsense - but when I checked it was a genuine news item.
I then googled for more *current* African news
Witchdoctors still arrange for albinos to be killed and recommend raping a child to "get rid of HIV"

I mention all of this, because I think ALL races around the globe have a natural culture - which is part of their genes. I think just as an Englishman in New Delhi will still have inbred English values, then so too will an African person in England, still have African values.
You suggest education is not an issue as all communities have equal access - and I would agree. However it is perhaps questionable to suggest that all races excel in the same subjects. Stereotyping or not, black people tend to make excellent sportsmen, but are not quite so prolific in the more academic persuits for example. ALL races have their strengths - just as all have their weaknesses.
Asian people - especially Chinese and Japanese have the largest brain size of all races (and IQ's around 5-10 points higher than caucaseans for example).
I think indigenous African folks are perhaps more "physical" then a typical indigenous westener.
We ALL have our strengths and our weaknesses - and I am happy to accept that we are all "of equal value" - but those strengths and weaknesses are NOT always compatible with those of other people.
Only a fool would place a piranha and a neon tetra in the same tank, both can exist well in their own communities - but bloodbaths happen when you expect them to "live together in peace and harmony".
Humans are NOT that much different - even though we might like to delude ourselves otherwise. Some breeds work together - and others do not.
What I think doesn't help is that mixing cultures together isn't helpful for either black OR white people. This isn't a racist thing, I think it is harmful to BOTH sides - because the cultures of both are so totally different.
You mention the "beautiful diversity of our wonderful multi-cultural country" - but I suspect for every "great example of different cultures getting along great", I could find you five examples where blood has been shed.
I suspect this will get lots of thumbs down - which is a pity - as I am actually hoping that ONE day a way forward will exist where folks can co-exist - BUT until the REALITY is accepted that some cultures are just NOT easily mixed with others, this isn't going to happen - to the ongoing suffering of ALL involved.
