I need to make a "bleeding knife" prop for a skit I am doing, any suggestions?
I was thinking of using a prop knife and an enema kit, replacing the handle of the knife with the bulb and wrapping it in leather or something. I don't have a lot of time or money and was wondering if (and possibly how) I could make this method work.

I would, of course, be filling the enema with fake blood (obviously).
1. Do not use a real knife 
I don't think an enema kit would make a realistic-looking handle. The bloody knives I've seen are similar, but use a very small bladder (like an eyedrops bottle) on the upstage side, with a thin plastic pipe to the knife's edge. The don't hold much blood, but enough.
There's also a powder you can use. Apply it to the victim and apply the reagent to the knife. As you drag the knife across the area, the powder turns red. unfortunately, it also reacts with water, so perspiration can set it off (I know from experience).
Trick knives and blood powder are available at a makeup or magic shops.
