Usa Made
Why are most candy canes sold in USA made in Mexico?
In the USA: have a look at any package of candy canes, and you are almost guaranteed to see "made in Mexico". Why is this? Is there some economic benefit? Or is most of the sort of equipment used for making candy canes in Mexico? Thank you.
I did a Google search on candy canes mexico, and an article appeared that suggests that the price of sugar might be a factor. Certainly there is an economic reason. Here is the article: http://www.retailmerchandising.net/cbus/archives/0801/0801spg.asp
It's probably cheaper to order them from Mexico because we have to pay our workers if we make them here. so, yes: economical benefit.
My step Dad says he wants a Case or an Old Timer, my friend is trying to tell me that Old Henry is the best... please help?
Which is better and why?
I have no clue what I am doing here lol
Thanks in advance!!
Carrie =)
lol he did tell me uncle henry... sorry dont know why I put old, guess cause I am getting old?
so Case is best? thank you
All three brands are pretty good.
Old Timer and Uncle Henry are both made by Schrade.
Frankly Case has been around a very long time and is the knife that most people collect.
If your step Dad wants a Case or Old Timer, I'd get him what he wants.
Personally I'd get him a Case and then ask your friend to explain why you should listen to him when he doesn't know the name is Uncle Henry - not Old Henry
