My mother has saxophone pearl keys?
I just got a new saxophone (YAS-575 online Allegro) a week ago and was curious if the cornerstones are false or if they are real mother of pearl keys. Does anyone know how I could tell the difference between the two?
Be that when I scratch my keys YTS-82Z, which are real mother of pearl keys, that zero will be displayed, and feel almost like the board. In light of my students, which probably is not the real thing, my one slide away. This is a fairly accurate way of knowing. The 575 is located between lines of intermediate and pro sax Yamaha so do not be surprised if he had the real thing. No information about the keys you can find online, because there is not much information about it at all. If you really want to know for sure, you can try to contact Yamaha, but frankly, never mind. Nobody sees the buttons on your fingers when you play, and pearls false look almost as good as the real thing.
