Is it illegal to carry a single folding blade knife in CA?
My knife is about 2.5 centimeters long and I carry it in my waist and defense emergencys staff. Is it illegal? Is illgeal have his shirt to cover the holder on my belt? Oh, by the way my knife is a knife, not a multi-tool just hang a sheet when you open it and you have to push a metal object to bend the back. Okay?
It is not illegal to own one, no matter length, and you can carry on your body hidden. It's just a knife (we call those with only a sheet of "knives" here in MD). knives butterfly are the only limited by the length (less than 2 inches). Sheath knives are not legal to carry concealed. I have provided links to the website of the government California as evidence. The statute says that even with one hand knives that use a thumb-stud is legal. What I like about the knife:
1. The first thing that jumps out me in the meridian is the mango. Handmade like sandpaper G-10 together with steel liners and layers of anodized aircraft aluminum, this manager not only looks super cool, but is built like a tank. The ergonomic handle Topo Meridian are wonderful. The knife is very comfortable in the hand and a grip allows many options.
2. One handed opening is not a problem with the Topo Meridian. The SOG assisted technology (SAT) helps turn the blade of the lever very quickly.
3. At 3.25 inches long, scimitar-like blade comes razor sharp right from the box. The AUS 8-A blade will maintain its edge, even after prolonged use.
Jimping or thumb grooves on the back of the blade allows precise cutting and fast when seconds count.
4. When the blade is in the open position, there is no up and down or side to side movement. This is important because the fingers depends on the knife block. Line Lock SOG is almost as strong as they come.
5. The finger guard at the bottom of the sheet gives greater protection from fingers accidentally dropped to the leaf.
What turns me off:
With that cool handle design, I would like the SOG offer this knife a little, clip, or even point drop style. Apart from that, I have no major complaint. You gotta love this knife!
Overall:
With a suggested value of $ 100, the knife SOG Topo Meridian Folding worth every penny. I appreciate how well the design and functionality of the knife were able to join.
