Question about Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series?
I just bought Echo in bone (as is the case for most of his novels as I have to wait between 3-4 years each share) have forgotten some of the characters. However, since reread Outlander and Dragonfly in Amber, I'm just realizing how important Murtagh was the character. My question is, what happened to Murtagh? As I said, has been a few years between my first reading Outlander so the details of each share is a bit blurry. Thanks in advance!
In A Breath of Snow and Ashes Jamie recalled coming face to face with Black Jack Randall at the Battle of Culloden. He is unable moving, staring into the eyes of Randall. Murtagh comes running behind Randall, he plunges his dagger, they lose the land that was destined to go and Randall and Murtagh rolling locked in battle. Jamie goes to the aid Murtagh. We know that Randall actually kills or if any of them do. Murtagh dies at Culloden, a part of the memory of Jamie Murtagh is saying that it does not hurt to die. This memory is in Chapter 113 after the battle of Moore's Creek. It is actually more in the nature a flashback.
