I wonder what people think about 9 feet WHUPPIN Cabelas CRAPPIE STICK COMBO with open face reel?

Bill Dance Bass Pro and 10 m of rod type Fish Zebco spinning reel attached. I'm wanting to buy 1 of them and not to get Kown. I use to separate, fingerlings / red worms, and quality. Thank you for your help.

I had a 12-foot crappie whuppin 'stick and use it as a canepole now. It is quite heavy ... Well maybe not as heavy as it is difficult to retain and threw all day. A 9 'would be fine. But that is quite sensitive. If you know your type of fish that will be catchin 'and not turtle or 7 pounds of tilapia. I I prefer the 8 'Slabseeker "... Very light, very strong, super sensitive and can actually get the line out there.

Walleye is my favorite fish to catch. It is true that landing a bass that I have been hunting his excitement as the bust of the lunker and take it in but the finesse involved in landing a walleye, the pure fishing skill required is something that I really enjoy. And as a chef, I love the pike for its pristine flavor, Clearwater. This article talk about fishing gear on the ice that could think for early ice fishing walleye, the lake and the structures to look for when they fix their eyes bulging platform ice fishing.

Ice Fishing Gear to use

In the early ice fishing with a good tip passive to Jig created is king. As with all fishing on walleye, a conservative approach, often the best. Keep the batter to a minimum, and depending on the rattle of a rattling lure or agony Fathead of an appropriate size will do better than a strategy of aggressive jig.

For live bait options, tend to use a single hook and split shot mini-platform with minnows, red worms or worm larvae, or Lindy Pounder in Chartreuse (playing with colors, as always) with wax or red worms. To separate decoy almost exclusively, you can use specialty jig spoons, with and without a characteristic rattling. The key is being flexible, as always. Sometimes a walleye of early ice come from afar to rattle spoon. Other times, you can only scare them. In general, with bulging eyes, I tend to go easy in all directions in case of doubt. Let your experience in local waters and fish is your guide.

Structure and Lake Ice Fishing for Walleye

Early ice walleye tend to stay in shallow water and out into deeper waters as the season progresses. Search water of about 6 'to 8' deep, and look for changes structural. As an example, here in the North, the season of ice fishing is about to begin in earnest at the time of writing this article and Cisco Lake, Gogebic County, Michigan is an example. Most of Lake Cisco is a mud bottom, but there is an increase in small hump GPS N46Â ° 14,562 'W89Â ° 26,758'. Just southeast of the hump is where they concentrate the lake's islands, and opposite the entrance to these islands is a rock and pebble / structure sandbar that juts straight from the point of the main island. Submerged structures such as these provide a great contrast to the surrounding background. Food styling Walleyes tend to be here, so These are the ideal place to establish a series of ice fishing holes.
