Unusual Japanese sword with two blades attached to a handle, need more information?
I saw this very unusual sword in a faire style katana Japanese, 3 feet approx. with curved blades that two swords attached to a handle or tsuba and handle. It seemed identical to the sword seen in an anime called Rurouni Kenshin Sword Hunter the character Cho. But this was a topic of cosplay. I need more information about this sword and the Japanese name of truth, please. It looks like this: http://users.skynet.be/aoshihomepage/Kenshin/Weapons/Renbatto.jpg This is a real sword, however, only one sleeve;)
? I hesitated to answer, because I have never personally seen double-bladed sword in Japan ... BUT! It looks much like double-bladed sword Fantasy. Have a look here: http://www.globalgear.com.au/prod1549.htm "The first (and only) katana of its kind in the world ..." Could that be what you're referring to? Sorry in advance if I'm wrong. As J says, swords Most Japanese I've seen are single sheet. Hmmmm ... Hope this helps! ?
