Heckler Koch

Speech is a hard-to-master art form. It requires a great deal of prior knowledge by the writer who can not be acquired overnight. But that's not enough.
A good speech also requires a clear central message. The writer, speaker and audience should all be able to answer the following question away right - to "what this speech, all About? Â"
It is also important to adjust the speech to the audience and the environment, or the occasion. A large opening of the school should not read like a grill or delivered in a political fundraiser.
To understand the kind of effort and care that goes in a great speech, I'd like to share with you the number of steps of Microsoft Bill Gates went through the development of June 7, 2007 speech at Harvard.
Gates began to prepare his speech in June 2007 in December 2006. He used a Gates Foundation staff member to express their initial ideas. Gates and the employee, who had been a writer for the online magazine Slate, worked on several ideas and projects through six brainstorming sessions. The result was six such projects same speech, "writing some of the longest in itself a" according to the Wall Street Journal.
To strengthen itself and focus on a central concept, Gates read historical speeches delivered by Albert Einstein, Marie Curie, Enrico Fermi, Robert Koch, Bill Clinton, Bono, and George Marshall.
In January, he sent emails to his trusted employees to solicit their input and ideas.
In May, Gates visited Warren Buffett in Omaha, Nebraska, seeking their views and ideas about speech as well.
Then, he tried reading the speech himself on a podium in his office. Another copy was sent Buffet and the day after a "read the speech aloud to his wife in private air travel to Boston," according to the WSJ.
And on June 7 2007 Gates was finally ready to deliver the speech that has worked for over 6 months. That's the kind of energy and focus with the analysis that Gates is preparing for a opportunity for public reporting.
Is it a wonder it is one of the most successful entrepreneurs of the world has ever known?
